Do not stand by my grave and weep, I am not there, I do not sleep,
I am the thousand winds that blow, I am the diamond glints in snow,
I am the sunlight on ripened grain, I am the gentle autumn rain,
As you awake with morning’s hush, I am the swift up-flinging rush,
Of quiet birds in circling flight, I am the day transcending night.
Do not stand by my grave and cry, I am not there, I did not die.
Immortality -Clare Harner, 1934

Obituary: A loving and beloved mother, wife, sister, aunt, and friend, Sally Aizenman died last week after battling breast cancer bravely for many years. Born and raised in Monterey, California, Sally was the life of every party, bringing joy and laughter wherever she went. She was open-hearted, fun, freewheeling, and always unapologetically herself; her vibrant spirit was a gift to all who knew her.
She had a knack for bringing people together, and for making each day a celebration and an adventure. It didn't take a lot to make Sally happy, and her happiness was infectious—she adored a good book, a glass of wine, an irreverent joke, and, above all, her family, who treasured her right back. She was truly one of a kind, and she will be dearly missed.
Sally was preceded in death by her father, William C. Marsh, and by her mother, Nancy Jameson Marsh, for whom she was a devoted caretaker even amid her own health struggles. Sally is survived by her husband, Mark, and by her daughters, Zoe and Maya, as well as by her siblings Joe, Anne, and Jill. She also leaves behind a flurry of nieces, nephews, and chosen family, who will forever and fondly remember "Crazy Aunt Sally."
